Wellness and Rehab
Physical, occupational and speech therapy rehabilitation requires a physician’s order and may be covered under Medicare, insurance, or through private pay. Several local and nationally recognized home health agencies provide on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, with the goal to improve or restore physical function. For your convenience, physicians and therapists can provide services in our state-of-the-art on-site therapy room. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services can address:

- Balance and walking challenges
- Relearning tasks, such as dressing
- Vertigo and low vision challenges
- Safety issues
- Cognitive challenges
- Swallowing challenges
- Speech impairments
Fitness & Exercise
Dahlonega Assisted Living and Memory Care hosts exercise classes such as walking programs, strengthening and stretching, and Yoga. The Community has an abundance of flat, well-lit paths for walking and other forms of exercise. At an additional cost, residents can participate in personal training programs on-site through an outside provider. Participation in brain fitness training programs can support optimal cognitive function.
Health & Wellness Education
Health and wellness education at Dahlonega Assisted Living and Memory Care consists of seminars on topics such as healthy aging, nutrition, and disease prevention and management. The Community hosts support groups, health fairs, and participates in local health-related events.
Home health services
Under Medicare guidelines, home health companies can provide temporary nursing and therapy services to qualifying residents. The home health agency will work with your physician and their multidisciplinary to create a plan of care to ensure that you receive patient-centered home health care. Home health services are ordered by a physician and the care supervised by a registered nurse or therapist.
